AppControl - Around The World In 7 Days!

When we launched AppControl last Tuesday, we set a goal of hitting 1,000 downloads in the first week, but quickly we blew past that with over 10,000 downloads in just a few days! Huge thanks to everyone who tried AppControl and shared it. Your support means we can keep improving AppControl and growing the project!

We were thrilled to see AppControl mentioned on Softpedia, Neowin, MajorGeeks, Windows Central, and TechPowerUp. Then things took an unexpected turn — AppControl blew up in France after being featured on Korben as "Le Task Manager de Windows sous steroides", then Les Numeriques next, and many other French publications. That was quickly followed by a wave of mentions in Italy on Punto Informatico, then HDblog. Toby (our little AppControl mascot) packed his bags and somehow made his way to Chile, Turkey, and China!

So what’s next?

Thanks to early feedback from our growing community on the AppControl Forum and Discord, we’ve already got improvements lined up. One of the most requested features? A global keyboard shortcut to open AppControl. That’s coming in the next update.

Another big ask: translations. So we set up an account at Crowdin where anyone can help translate AppControl into their language. French is already underway thanks to some awesome volunteers — and more are welcome.

We’ve also received super helpful bug reports through Discord and the Forum, which means the next update will include fixes and refinements based on your input.
